Victor, NY – One injured in tractor-trailer Jeep crash on I-90

Victor, NY (December 15, 2022) – At 1:25 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, state police were called to a collision involving a tractor-trailer and two cars on I-90 in the town of Victor in Ontario County.

Dawa S. Sherpa, 29, of Astoria, New York, was traveling in a tractor-trailer westbound near mile marker 352.6 when he lost control and crashed through the center guardrail, according to the inquest. After two collisions with two eastbound Jeeps, the tractor-trailer flipped and blocked all lanes.

Kaitlyn L. Smith, 24, of Bloomingdale, the driver of the red Jeep, was uninjured. Tatianna Beutel, 19, and Tamiko Beutel, 59, both of Westwood, New Jersey, were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Sherpa was also sent to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries after being ticketed as a result of the collision.

After nearly 3 hours, all eastbound lanes were restored, resulting in a 10-mile traffic wait. The incident is under investigation.
