Today, Jeep officially unveiled its new vision for this American icon, showcasing a lineup of vehicles with a new level of sophistication and luxury design both inside and out.
Christian Meunier, Jeep Brands CEO spoke to assembled automotive journalists about the new Wagoneers, telling them that when Jeep teased the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer last September, Jeep was going to do more than bring back a familiar nameplate. “We would expand that into the premium world. When we shared our vision for the Wagoneer brand, we said it would redefine American premium and that we would deliver a unique customer experience.”
It wasn’t going to be just another Jeep brand, he continued. “Its core would be different. It would evolve into something completely new, a unique and very distinct brand within the Jeep brand. Now these plans are a reality.”
The 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer zero in on the North American mainstream SUV market from the compact to full-size segments, with the Wagoneer planted in the growing large SUV segment and the Grand Wagoneer aimed squarely at the premium luxury segment.
Meunier said these new vehicles are for consumers who “live life to the fullest and enjoy every bit of it. They don’t let trends, status symbols or even other people’s expectations define or limit them. They want to follow their own path, one that is unique. “
To that end, Meunier said the 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are made to stand out in a sea of simple SUVs and premium brands, instead of providing a feel and feel all its own.
Exterior details contribute to the premium look
