Scheduled to launch in India in March 2022, the new Compass Trailhawk will be equipped with two Jeep 4×4 systems and the Selec-Terrain traction management system. Further bolstering the SUV’s off-road credentials will be provisions like factory lift suspension, four standard metal skid plates and a Jeep signature red rear tow bar, 30-degree approach angle, 24-degree breakaway angle, 34-degree departure angle, up to 19 inches of water wadding, etc.
Jeep assures that the Compass Trailhawk’s interior will feature plenty of provisions and upgrades compared to the last model. Jeep Meridian 7-seat SUV
The Meridian, which will mark the automaker’s foray into India’s 7-seater SUV market, promises to deliver Jeep’s off-road capabilities along with a premium interior and an abundance of connected features. The made-in-India Jeep SUV will have more than 80 percent localization; its production at the company’s manufacturing facility in Ranjangaon, Pune will begin later this year – in May, to be exact.
While the company did not reveal the Jeep Meridian’s specifications or many other details, Jeep said that this upcoming SUV in India will be the first in its segment to come equipped with independent front and rear suspension. The 2022 Jeep Meridian will also deliver “best-in-class acceleration,” thanks to the optimized power-to-weight ratio. Oh and the Jeep Meridian SUV in India will be available with a choice of three engine options and two trims offered only in diesel.
Jeep Grand Cherokee
Another critical offering in the brand’s lineup for India this year is the made-in-India Jeep Grand Cherokee. The second Jeep SUV slated to launch here this year, the all-new Grand Cherokee SUV will be underpinned by an all-new platform, get an “all-new exterior design and all-new interior.” The list of 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee features will include four driving modes, leather interior, co-passenger interactive display, Head Up Display (HUD), power liftgate, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, etc.
