What’s new for the Jeep® Grand Cherokee

After more than 7 million global sales of the Grand Cherokee, the most acclaimed SUV of all time continues to set the standard. The latest version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee range has been designed and engineered to deliver even more of what has made this Jeep® SUV a true global icon in the premium SUV segment, including legendary capability, class-leading space and versatility and advanced safety features.
Grand Cherokee’s all-new architecture and sculpted aerodynamic body design combine to improve vehicle performance, safety and reliability, while significantly reducing vehicle weight, noise and vibration.
Designed to maximize overall occupant safety, comfort and convenience, the Grand Cherokee packs powerful punch with next-generation features and technologies that make it a standout in the full-size SUV segment.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee also delivers unmatched capability along with composed on-road driving dynamics. Legendary off-road capability begins with three 4×4 systems – Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II and Quadra-Drive II with rear Electronic Limited Slip Differential (ELSD). The class-exclusive Jeep Quadra-Lift air suspension, now with electronic semi-active damping, provides up to 10.9 inches (27.7 cm) of ground clearance and 24 inches (61 cm) of water clearance. The system automatically adjusts shock absorption to changing road conditions for increased comfort, stability and control, or can be controlled manually with console controls and has five height settings for optimal driving performance.
The class-leading Selec-Terrain traction management system allows customers to select the on or off-road setting for optimal 4×4 performance. This feature electronically coordinates 4×4 torque split, braking and handling, steering and suspension systems, throttle, transmission shifting, transmission, traction control, stability control, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and steering feel.
The all-new Grand Cherokee boasts a class-leading 3,265 kg max towing capacity with the available 5.7-liter V-8, rated at 357 horsepower and 390 lb. Ft in torque. While the standard 3.6-liter aluminum Pentastar V-6 engine, rated at 293 horsepower and 260 lb.ft of torque, is praised for its power and refinement and has a towing capacity of up to 2,812 kg.
Advanced technology with Uconnect 5
The fifth-generation Grand Cherokee has the most advanced technology features in its history, with Uconnect 5 – the latest Uconnect system that offers up to three 10.1-inch (25.6 cm) and two 10.25-inch (26 cm) digital screens in the cabin and an intuitive user experience.
A front passenger display offers assistant assistance with navigation, camera view and visual entertainment, while the digital rearview mirror, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and TomTom navigation ensure a premium driving experience along with better connectivity with two Bluetooth-enabled phones paired simultaneously.
The new fifth generation line-up also has Amazon Fire TV built in, enabling passengers to stream videos, play games, listen to music, get information and watch downloaded content – all while on the move.
A state-of-the-art McIntosh sound system is also available and features 19 custom-designed speakers (including a 10-inch / 25.4 cm subwoofer), 950 watts of power and a 17-channel amplifier. The Jeep® brand is currently the only car manufacturer in the world to have a McIntosh system.
