Jalen Rose and Grand Wagoneer launch “Where I’m From” campaign for social media

Sports analyst, former NBA player and Michigan Wolverine, philanthropist and Detroit native Jalen Rose plays the lead role in a new social media campaign for Grand Wagoneer. The six-week campaign, “Where I’m From,” features Rose, who pays tribute to the streets of Detroit and the neighborhoods that have helped him flourish and influence his success. It pays tribute to people from major cities across the country, including Detroit, that affects. The campaign will be supported across Rose’s social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, in addition to Wagoneer’s social media channels. The campaign will run through mid-March and culminates in encouraging audiences to share stories of their city pride.

After two teasers launched during the first two weeks of February, a one-minute video was launched on Rose’s social media channels today, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Driving a Grand Wagoneer through iconic Detroit streets, including Woodward Avenue, Six Mile, Rosa ParksMartin Luther King Jr. the boulevards and around Hart Plaza, home of The Monument to Joe Louisalso known as “the fist,” Rose speaks to how the city Detroit shaped him, and how he is a reflection of that spirit, which helped make him the person he is now.

The campaign will continue to be built until mid-March, with Rose inspiring her fans to share their own stories of the city’s pride through the hashtag #WhereImFrom.

“Where I’m From” was created in collaboration with Detroit-based creative agency Boulevard.
