Jeep is one of America’s most beloved car manufacturers. In addition to making the Gladiator pickup, the brand specializes in SUVs and crossovers. The company makes so many sports cars that you might need a road map to keep up with the latest models. So here’s a handy guide to 2023 Jeep SUVs.
2023 Jeep Renegade
The smallest and cheapest among 2023 Jeep SUVs is the Renegade, which is technically a crossover. It competes in the subcompact crossover segment and starts at around $24,700. As the Renegade is the smallest crossover in the range, its engine is also relatively small.
Jeep offers just one engine option for the boxy Renegade, a 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 177 hp. The standard model has front-wheel drive, but buyers can upgrade to all-wheel drive.
2023 Jeep Compass
Jeep hasn’t released much information about the 2023 Compass yet. However, it shouldn’t be too different from the 2022 model. That’s because the Compass received a facelift for the 2021 model year.
This compact crossover starts at around $27,000. Like the Renegade, the Compass only has one engine option. Its 2.4-liter four-cylinder makes 180 hp, and AWD is optional.
2023 Jeep Wrangler
Starting at $30,000, the Wrangler is one of the most recognized Jeep SUVs. This compact sportster with body-on-frame construction is a true off-roader, so four-wheel drive is standard.
The Wrangler also has plenty of powertrain options. It starts with a 3.6-liter V6 producing 285 hp, and other engine options include a 6.4-liter V8 with 470 hp. In addition, Jeep offers a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), the Wrangler 4xe. It costs $55,000 and gets an estimated 49 MPGe – excellent fuel economy for a Jeep.
2023 Jeep Cherokee
The Cherokee sits in the compact crossover segment but starts at around $35,000. It is larger than the Compass and comes better equipped. Notably, the Cherokee starts with a 3.2-liter V6 that produces 271 hp. That said, the Cherokee isn’t as popular as its big sibling, the Grand Cherokee.
2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The 2023 Grand Cherokee starts at $39,000, and as the name suggests, it’s a larger version of the Cherokee. In fact, it’s so big it’s in the mid-size crossover segment. Not only that, but the Grand Cherokee is also the best-selling Jeep model, so the automaker offers plenty of options for it.
It starts with a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 293 hp, but like the Wrangler, the Grand Cherokee also has a PHEV version, priced at $62,000. Jeep also offers a long-body model, the Grand Cherokee L.
2023 Jeep Wagoneer
The Wagoneer competes in the full-size SUV segment, making this model one of the largest 2023 Jeep SUVs. Starting at $59,000, it has a new 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six that generates 420 hp.
Like the Grand Cherokee, the 2023 Wagoneer also offers a longer L model. And while it’s roomy and comfortable, it’s not the biggest or most luxurious of Jeeps. That distinction belongs to the Grand Wagoneer.
2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
The Grand Wagoneer starts at nearly $89,000. Like the Wagoneer, this full-size SUV has a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six as standard, but it makes 510 hp.
Overall, this model is similar to the Wagoneer, except Jeep gave the Grand Wagoneer so many exclusive features that it is basically a luxury SUV. And like the Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer, the 2023 Grand Wagoneer also offers an L model.
